Can anyone help me?
how do I work out the distribution of the academic ability scores? i should also distinguish between 1 and 0 scores.

the score are:
score: 88, 74, 55, 71, 43, 62, 38
age: 1, 1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 0

does anybody know how i should do this in a spreadsheet?

I guess you would group the 1's scores together and the 0's scores.
Distribution of 1's would be the lowest to the highest, same for 0's
i.e. 1's: 43-88 0's: 38-71

In a spreadsheet, it may be best to put the 1's in one row and the 0's in another, then sort by lowest-highest.

Easy .. everything above 50% is an 'A*' and all the others are 'A' :-)

NB> it is illegal to discriminate by age ...
