I just noticed a roach coming in through my window in my bedroom. Since I heard they still live a week without their head, I figured I shouldn't mash it with my shoe. So I ran and got a glass cleaner spray and sprayed it. It's no longer moving, but I'm afraid that if I stop paying attention to it that it might get up again. Is there something else I should spray it with? Do you think it's dead? Unfortunetly I don't have a spray that actually is supposed to kill roaches.
Sorry if I spelled things wrong, but I'm typing quickly because I need to get back to the roach.

Ew yuk. I hate those things too. But I'm pretty sure it is not dead. We sprayed a spider with hair spray and it didn't move for a long time then it started staggering across the floor. You should definitely squash it with your shoe then use a piece of cardboard & scoop it up & flush down the toilet. It won't come back up & you won't have to worry about it's head. Just in case there are more, keep the lights on. I heard they only come out in the dark. Well good luck and wear heavy boots for stomping.

jeeze why on earth were they even put on earth!?
emm, sorry but i do not think that glass cleaner will have killed it. they are pretty strong creatures. i read somewhere once that they are immune to many chemicals. i have also read tru some answers and it is true about squashing and realesing the eggs.
well i have a cat at home and if a cockroach managed to get in it doesnt live long anyways. so he solves the problem for me the good kittycat :o)
but since you do not have any roach spray at hand i think you should just squash it with a shoe and then clean the area properly so that any eggs are removed.
yukk i dont envy you!

Wrap him in a paper towel. Put him in a plastic sandwich bag. Put the bag in a shoebox. Bury the shoe box.
Or
Pick him up and throw him out the window.

They might live a week without their head, but they don't live at all with a smashed body. Go get your shoe again and smash it into a goo!

I would advise you to collect it between two thick pieces of paper or put on your gloves and pick it up, then leave it in the garden or outside in the lawn, i.e. if your are so keen on not wanting to swat it! Personally, I would gather it and flush it down the toilet.

Don't splat it whatever you do. When you crush them with something they do die but leave eggs in whatever you crush them with. Be careful. There ugly. And good luck
