Yes of course, but you can think of it as vestiges of popular culture creeping into an even popular medium.

Small doses of media are fine and add a bit of realism. Castaway (Tom Hanks movie) is worse --it's a 2 and a half hour FedEx commercial.

And remember that Coke can (or was it a pepsi) in Independence Day that they used for testing the alien spaceship's defenses?

It was a lot of "free plug" for those companies. yes - but only to a point. Still a great movie in its own right though.

l thought l was the only one who noticed it.
lt's worse in my country. The products are incorporated in the story and has quite a long exposure. Hmp!

yep and get use to it. It's going to happen more and more and even on tv shows.
