the fan at the back of the power supply wont spin at all. to stop it from over heating i took the case off the power supply box, hoping that the heat will be taken out by the other fan in pc. Can i replace it? the connections seem to be welded on!!

WHAT!!! Take cover men!

Don't wait for it to smoke your PC and toast everything in there.

REPLACE it NOW!

Get a new power supply. It will be a lot less dangerous. It ought to say somewhere on the power supply that there are "no serviceable parts inside." That means do not go inside the power supply, and there are reasons for that, the voltage can kill you.

You can, however, replace the power supply yourself. I have done this many times.
