Well, my sister's husband is almost 20 years older than her...he's two years younger than our parents. But they met when she was like 25, and truthfully it was weird at first, but they're the best couple I know, they get along so well, but I think she needed his maturity.
I do however think that it wouldn't have worked for like an 18 year old to date even a 25 year old because that 18 year old is going to be a totally different person in a few years.

No difference.9 years is just about or less than a decade and biologically compatible.

9 years gap is not a large difference. it will definately work and you can get married UNLESS, your underage or something. but i hope not. now that would be bad.
