Well, sorry to say, the penguins you refer to are now extinct.
Chalk it up to one of evolutions experiments that just didn't work out.
Through study of the remaining carcasses, it has been determined that penguins with opposing flippers could only swim in a circular fashion. Hence their ability to feed was limited to about a 10 foot radius.

I googled it and found that" opposable" had been misspelled, it should have said "disposable"...and ,yes, that is further evidence of evolution...
