I've never been quite sure what the term means, either, but I have figured out that it must not be someone that the people on here care for. :o) I guess you have also figured that out, too. lol

A troll is a person who posts a question that will cause an emotional reaction (of any kind) in order to receive a lot of answers.
Something that is listed with a hot button topic or even a taboo ....something racial, violent, abusive or just plain ridiculous.
It is usually something that seems like it would be "politically incorrect" to speak of. I do my best these days to ignore those types of questions.

a troll is a person who didn't read the rules or rugulations and keeps on getting violation notices all the time. They cause trouble by disobying the rules.

I was going to ask this question the other day! I think a troll is like the ones with the gross avatars that post offensive questions and answers.

I don't know who "everyone" is...but a troll on the Internet typically refers to someone that joins a discussion group with maliscious intentions.

Trolls on yahoo answers is people that clone your profile and pretend to be you, or they are themselves and post vulgar horrible questions.
They can also report you for no reason - and may get your account deleted.
Also they send you abusive emails.
if you are worried (if you have not already) set your Q&A's to private.
