she were still living with her ex. She had a very abusive life with him.They were getting divorced (still living in same house) when he had a stroke and became an invalid. He can talk and feed himself but everything else is total care. She needs a life but is very devoted to him.No sexual involvement with him for 4 years.So what I"m asking is...Is it wrong to start seeing another man and have some kind of a life?

He has no one else.
Would never let him know anything about seeing anyone.
No one wants a long term involvement.

i dont see any reason as not to but then the new guy must know & he has to either understand or starts running out of the door... you see honey you have to choose its him or a new man you cant have them both well its not entirely impossible but it would be a one of a helluva of a man if thats me i wont agree...

Unless he agrees to it you need to move out & stay away from him if you want to be with someone else.It's not fair to either guy. Two wrongs don't make a right!
Exactly why is it you think you have to stay & take care of a guy who treated you so badly?? Rent ,buy or borrow Madea's Family Reunion & watch it maybe it will help you . You are living that movie .
UPDATE: Sorry, I should have said Diary of a Mad Black Woman, I forgot which one it was, I was about to go to sleep at the time. But both are great movies, with abusive men.

That is a tough call. Why can't one of the children or other family members live with him, and she can just go by and help out?

Its very sweet that you devoted to him, but you need to get a life of your own and start seeing someone else. its perfectly fine
