I need to find a good place to take my Godfather from Germany to a Rodeo some where around Houston.

He wants to see bullriding.

On September 15th... Please let me know anywhere that is good?

I think that the closest things that you are going to find are the county fairs around that time. Here are a few to look into...

Washington County Fair (Brenham, TX) This is the oldest county fair in Texas. It runs Sept. 15-22 this year. Brenham is about 1.5 hours northwest of Houston. Check out the web site www.washingtoncofair.com

Colorado County Fair (Columbus, TX) It runs Sept 13-16 this year. Columbus is on I-10 about 1.5 hours west of Houston. Check out the website www.coloradocountyfair.org

Usually the county fairs have carnival rides, games, livestock shows, and rodeos. Check out the websites for the schedules and ticket prices. If neither of these work for you, try Googling texas county fairs with local county names for more results.

When you go to the rodeo, definitely wear sturdy shoes because many fair sites are open fields the rest of the year and can get quite muddy from all of the people walking about and worse if there is any rain. I would suggest going to one of the evening events because the day events will be hot and smelly, if less crowded. And take cash since the ticket booths and concession stands usually don't take credit cards

*** Sorry I have been informed that the place is closed now.
It is a shame, it was a fun place. ***

There is a Rodeo Place just west of Houston. It is called:
Simonton Rodeo Round Up
and is located at:
Fm 1093
Houston, TX 77299
(281) 533-9414

I have not been in years but they used to run a very good show. Good luck and have fun

I hope someone else knows, because the only county fair I know about is the Waller County fair, which runs September 29th to October 6th.
