According to the latest news headlines, Bush is about to request the congress to pay $50 billion more to run the iraq war. Do you think Congress should give him $50 billion blank check of taxpayer money? I think they will because Bush says we should never forget 9/11. What do you think?

Well, we're already at close to three quarters of a trillion dollars and counting, so what's another 50 billion? Here, take a couple million and go buy yourself some favorable war coverage from the conservative press.

Obviously, it doesn't want anyone to forget 9/11. Motivation thus endure relevantly as mere catalyst towards external aspiration.

$50 Billion additional? Ha! Perhaps a better question, does congress possess any greater insight today?

I propose at least:
Anti-LGBT Lobbyng: $0.00 funding
Operation Assault on Iraq (or however regarded): $0.00
Faith-Based Charity Programs: $0.00
Additional (excess) Educational Budget: $0.00
Reparations to Descendants of Former Slaves: $0.00

*** Why $0.00 faith-based charity programs? Churches have no business with their greedy hands on federal monies.

*** Why $0.00 additional funding of education? Look at all they have, more money spent than ever before, and weigh results!

Added:

"GOD Bless the USA". Why the insult, because someone disagrees? Do you really believe the operations in Iraq are expressly anti-terrorist?

"A Person". Not fail in Iraq? Geez. Where do you people come up with this material? Maybe the late-night talk shows and news wrapup programs are offering free crash courses in tunnel vision again.

"Natalia". Spoken like a real American!

Well, you need to keep this in perspective, which is hard when you are talking about such large numbers.

The US yearly revenue is about 2.5 trillion dollars. So $50B is about 50/2500 = 1/50 'th of the US revenue or 2%.

Where does the other 98% go? You may be interested to find that 2/3 of the US revenue goes to social entitlement programs.

9/11 has nothing to do with Iraq. Never did.

And Congress should cut off all federal funding to all military activity until Bush recalls all troops from Iraq. Which is fully within Congressional spending powers in Article I Section 8 of the Constitution.

But they're not going to do that -- they're going to roll over and play spineless jellyfish and ignore what the American people elected them to do.

They will try to deny him the money without a timeline, but eventually not having a large enough majority will force them to give the administration what they want. It'll be the same thing that happened earlier this year. I don't happen to believe the congress ought to fund the trial in futility that is Iraq though.

They will because we can not fail in Iraq. It is not an option.
