I speak ghetto, its a bad habit. I was born and raised in the neighbor hood of thugs. I also speak proper ettiquet sometimes if I choose so. I use to read alot of books and I find myself to be somewhat smart. My question is this: do you ladies find it negative in any kind of way for a man to speak ghetto compared to speaking proper? If so, why? Thanks for the information. oh and P.S. Please be honest and you can be brutal as you like.

I would prefer it if someone spoke to me in English as apposed to Ghetto as it just sounds better. One, I'm not up on all the slang. Two, when I hear the garb, it sounds to me like I'm at work and it instantly causes me to classify the person as an inmate (that's where I work). And three, it reminds me of want-to-be rappers. Music that I don't care for. However, I don't think that the person is less educated or ignorant when I hear it, because I don't believe that a persons vocabulary is an determining factor of their intelligence.

No offence but a man who speaks properly is a go for me. Ghetto talk is a lanuage of its own, and its very hard to understand, but in saying that, some things I have heard are amusing!!

talking "ghetto" or slang just annoys me.. its ok when youre playing around or maybe if you just barely use it.. because everyone uses slang words once in a while... but i just really prefer for a guy to talk normally. not even like hella proper with all these formal words and stuff... just normal. not stress off it. am i making sense?

I am myself "speaking proper" but I would understand "speak ghetto" if need be.
I prefer people to "speak proper".
I speak proper French but I also understand "French argot".
I speak other languages too.

yeah i like it when guys speak ghetto. i'd much rather have that them having them like pull out my chair for me and using all these big proper words and stuff. i don't know why. it's just more attractive to me.
