God can't be one of us because each person and each culture have their own definition of God, maybe for someone God can be a person for others God is the Sun, God is the light, God is an animal, in some children's eyes God is their mother, etc...

God can only exist in the mind of the beholder.

I've always have that thought that God is just one of us watching us from our level. But as God.

If God had a name, what would it be
And would you call it to his face
If you were faced with him in all his glory
What would you ask if you had just one question

And yeah yeah God is great yeah yeah God is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home

If God had a face what would it look like
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in jesus and the saints and all the prophets

And yeah yeah god is great yeah yeah god is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
He's trying to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the pope maybe in rome

And yeah yeah God is great yeah yeah God is good
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

What if god was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
Just trying to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone
Back up to heaven all alone
Just trying to make his way home
Nobody calling on the phone
Except for the pope maybe in rome

just a stranger on the bus trying to make his way home. i luv that song. but seriously he might do things alot differently than us, remember he send his son to us and we riddiculed and one of his own desiples betrayed him. im sure if he was on this earth right now and made hiself known to us some would lol in his face, and others would ask for proof but in any case would u be ready to face the man upstairs?

What if he was he would be cruel with no understanding and full of pride and no humility for honesty and no prayer because he would have every thing he needed he wouldn't need himself if he was one of us for he would have his cell phone his car and his food and his home and his computer you see but the reality is that God is not us and he is unchangeable and he is holy and he is mercy-full and he is Good and he is joy and is love for the love of man has grown cold for Gods love is from everlasting to everlasting according to his love and his word and what he has shown me!

God is, as the Creator is all things, and none of them, at the same time.
