it really shouldn't matter what century it is. morals shouldn't really change like that. i mean, i think that its ok to have sex before marrage, but only if you are planning to marry the person. and on the first date? thats just rediculous. a person above me said that if you"really love the person" its ok. but i mean, you can not tell on the first date if you really love a person. thats just stupid. so i think its not ok. i mean, maybe after a WHILE at least, you should wait for like 4 or 5 dates. and thats when the relationship is getting serious. but thats just what i think, and not everybody has to agree. so w/e.

It's not okay. I've done that too many times, and I'm ashamed to say, sometimes it wasn't even a date. Now that I'm older, I regret it. I guess I didn't have enough self esteem to think a guy could just like me for who I am, without the sex. Also, I respect sex for what it's meant to be. It's not to be thrown around carelessly. Sex goes so much deeper than just the physical act.

nope. especially as a woman YOU have most of the worries. You will be called a slut whereas the guy will be called a player, YOU will get the disease, YOU will have to choose between abortion or birth. My friend got pregnant on her first time to a married man and they used a condom - she aborted and said it was the most painful thing she had ever done (and she has given birth before), my other friend got Chlamydia (sp) and pregnant with a guy on her first night and she can't even tell her parents bc/ they will most likely kick her out....ugh...as good as it looks on tv - it's a mess

It's not right, but it is a common practice. I'm in a relationship with a person that I slept with on the first date...we've been together for two years!

I dont think its ok. I feel its sending a message that your easy. Not worth waiting or working for. Thats my feeling about that. My last boyfriend. We dated for 8mo. we never slept together I was so glad about that when we broke up. It only makes things worse.

I can't say its not okay for anyone to do, because i'm not gonna judge people who do it. But I know I personally wouldn't be okay with it

Nope, it's not ok, because then they would just use you for the sex. Unless you are looking for a long-term booty call, that's not the way to go.

Probably not the best choice, but I can understand how it could happen. And it is just sex then, no relationship potential.
