If you want a draft so bad, why not just go enlist instead of asking the same question over and over again on Y/A? Doesn't that make more sense?

A draft would almost certainly guarantee a revolt.
So much of the US population is opposed to continued US presence in Iraq that attempting to force a draft would cause people who have (so far) just grumbled quietly to actively rise up -- if only in self preservation.
A draft only works if the population as a whole supports the endeavor -- that's not the case currently.

Anything but end the war or stop spending close to a trillion dollars on a failed government overthrow. Isn't odd how drafts, extensions of service deployments, massive debts and hundreds of thousands of casualties are last resorts, but peace doesn't even enter our minds? God Bless America.

Not with this President.
Who is to say that he wouldn't start something with Iran if you got more soldiers?
I don't trust him. I have family members serving in Iraq. I don't need to worry about anymore over there.
