Well, it depends what type of 3D model you are making. Are you wanting to make a mold of your face, or sculpture out of clay? Do you want an exact replica the same size?
If you are wanting an exact replica, you will want to partake in a mold making process - and it is quite extensive, and frustrating the first time around. You will be needing helpers to help with venting your nostrils, and mouth while you are getting the mold made. You can go to your local library and check out books on mold making for reference. I suggest for your first mold, to make it a plaster cast. A silicone mold is more expensive, and higher end, and a little more tricky to work with. Mold making is a lost art and a lot of people are not so helpful at giving away their secrets.
If sculpting in a clay based medium , just get a block of clay and start pecking away. Be sure to have someone take a picture of you from the front, sides and back of your head, and just start sculpting. You'll be amazed with how well you will do. Keep referring to the pictures for details and keep a mirror close by too!
Best of luck to you in your endeavors.

Depends on what your limits of the 3D you can do is it an actual model one you can touch or one that can be made into a picture. Well if its a model you can touch then plaster your face and then get some costume gel that hardens and put that inside of the mask you made and it will make a model of your face its what is done in movies. Heck it was done in Mrs. Doubtfire remember the gay brother turning Robin Williams into a old women. then if its a 3D picture find a program to use on your computer that can help make you a cartoon. That is all I can think of sorry this subject is not my best but it was something I thought I can give ideas on.

The traditional means is very messy and requires a helper. You need plaster of paris and water close by. Follow the directions on the package quickly and carefully. You will need to put pieces of drinking straws in your nostrils to avoid closing off your breathing. Cover your hair with a plastic swim cap. smear your whole face, neck, and a couple of inches of the swim cap with petroleum jelly. then have your helper apply a fairlly good coating of plaster of paris to your face, avoiding your eyes. Make sure to keep your mouth closed and breathe through the straws. When the plaster hardens, remove the mold. Remove the straws. you will have to plug up the eye area and the nostrils and any mouth openings with tape on the outside. Then melt parafin wax and pour it into the mold. Allow to harden, remove carefully trim any rough areas with a razorblade. Color your wax face with regular face makeup, use your own creativity and ideas for eyes and hair. You can also push clay into the mold for a clay model but it wont be as lifelike. Silicone is also a possibility.
There are easier ways using computers to make three D models although it is done in industry and not available for home computers.

Hi there, a good way if you want to have a tangible model of your own face then get hold of some cast dressing plaster for setting broken bones and put glad wrap over your face then apply plaster cast...let set about 15 mins, then remove. The glad wrap protects the face and makes it easy to remove then you can decoate as required...hope this helps

Go and pay for the services of a 3D scanner that will use a laser to locate the coordinates of your face and give you a big file. Or use a 3D point and sit very still while someone puts in all the data points.

if you need a computer animated feature, then you need the program and the scanner...
if you need a clay model... you can use plaster of paris, but that is kinda expensive!!
you can use paper mache, to place over your face and let dry!! then fill mold with a silicone from any hardware store!!!
