Like when someone overly compliments you. What is the best way to go about it? I'm vulnerable here people, I blush.

What counts for me during those occurrences is MOTIVE.
I try to size the person out and what their intention is, but this only applies when someone is overly complimenting me, not when recieving a few compliments, which is nice.

When over-doing it...If I think they are sincere, I would let him/her know my appreciation for their opinions of me and would tell them kindly that they do not have to further compliment me.

If I think they are insincere and blabbing away for ulterior motives, then I don't take the compliments seriously and nicely thank them before departing from the conversation.

People who observe usually know when someone is being honest or not.

So, you blush? That's cute. Nothing wrong with a woman or man complimenting you, at least I think so, just be certain she or he really means it. ;-)
