Honesty is always the best policy.
Go to that person and be humble. Admit your mistake and ask them to forgive you. Tell them they are very valuable to you as a friend. Explain that this mistake will never happen again. Don't keep telling that person, why you did what you did, move on and concentrate on your apology. Most people tend to dwell on the problem, but the problem has already passed. If that person still doesn't want to forgive you, you can be sure in your heart, that you did your best to apologize and forget about it. Some things are just not meant to be.

Are you that girl that trump didn't fire? I don't watch the pageant because they are boring even though the girls are beautiful. But ya don't worry about the past, and if those people were your friends they would still be there for you. I'm here for you. I'm the kind of guy you can rely on. I know how to be a friend. I can take you away and show you a good time with no drugs or alcohol, how about that? Perfect chance to get your life back on track. Seriously though, dreaming aside, umm don't worry about the fans of the Miss USA pageant because they will forget about it and also if they have no life and want to critisize you will they can waste there lifes. Look at it like this, if you are a changed person and you got your life back and you beleieve you are doing good things than that's all that can really be asked of you. Ultimately you have to find what makes you happy and be comfortable and want to do the right thing. (If you are the Trump girl, while than Trump showed faith in you and that should mean a lot, you must have good in y ou.) But with those close to you, you can expect them to be stubborn and require you to go above and beyond to gain there trust back. You don't need drugs or alcohol and you know they only ruin your life and should not be an alternative to dealing with pressure and pain. Best thing you can do is to do things for yourself, if you never got a college degreee maybe go back to school for one. I am sure with the publicity you can bring to it some college will give you a full scholarship, also you could do a reality tv show about it and make more money (I would suggest University at Buffalo). Make yourself happy and set yourself up on the right path and those people who are suppose to be "close" to you will fall right back in and appreciate you once again. Good Luck and stay clean

tell them you have done a mistake and you feel sorry for it. close the chapter there. In order to regain the trust of others, you can do it only through your actions. so be patient and when you get a chance the next time show others that you are trustworthy. once broken, regaining trust of the others gonna take time. so gradually, use every opportunity and get back their confidence. dont think that you can get there trust back in one day.

ur not a God. doing mistakes is the nature of humans. the first thing to do is to realize that u have mistaken, and u r already realised that. then u must be confidant that u will never do that again. If u do that people will forgive u coz it's a matter of inner emotions. They will feel that u r honest in ur decision and that's the best way to deal with this situation coz emotions never lie.

i think it takes time, to prove that you are still worthy of trust, in spite of your mistake, apologizing is only a part of it, one will have to on the long run act and react in manners that are more appropriate, if it's someone you really care about, or is special then doing extras is ok, like buying them a gift, inviting them, etc, but it does take time and the most important is being patient

You said it, a mistake, so if people realize that it was a mistake, their trust to you will not change, so its your duty to show them that it was a mistake which you will try hardly not to fall in it again accidently

it depends on the weight of the mistake...ranging from doing nothing - saying i was sorry - bringing flowers (rare case) - bribery (in all its good forms)..
