I have a good job and a roof over my head and beautiful, happy well adjusted children...how could I get any luckier?

I am lucky in life for all the things that I have. I am truely blessed for each and every day that I am able to spend with my husband and my family. I wonder consider myself truely lucky to beable to have a child of my own, but that is not going to happen due to health reasons. Each morning I wake up I try to feel lucky =)

I realized how lucky I was after surviving 6 IED's in Iraq that were designed to kill everything within 45 meters. I was as close as 6 feet away when they went off.

I once saw a lady in a store who had no legs and only one arm. She was in a wheel chair basically dragging herself along the shelf. Every time I feel down about something stupid I remember her and consider myself lucky.

1. I wake up each morning
2. I'm healthy
3. I have a job/a place to stay/food to eat
4. I don't have noise neighbors
5. I make enough money too get by
6. I can buy the finer things if I choose
7. I drive the car of my choice

Falling off of a 20 foot tall cliff straight on to my back and then walking 3 hours later, obviously not paralyzed. True story, happened last Friday.

Winning the lottery would be the first thing that popped into my mind but the truest and most wonderful thing that happened was having healthy children being born.

If I won the powerball lottery, without buying a ticket, I would be lucky. Hey, I'd feel lucky if I won the powerball lottery WITH buying a ticket. Aw hell, I'd feel lucky if I won ANY lottery, really.

I do, I beleive in luck....and I won't say why because I may jinx it but yes I feel like I get my share and even though I work hard for it sometimes it seems it's just handed to me or to easy....maybe it's just me working hard for my stuff...but I think luck has a little to do with it.
