first timer?

if this is your first time getting pregnant can you have more then spotting the first couple of weeks i just really wanted to know cause I'm a first timer and i conceived like a week ago and i have heavy bleeding thank you very much

and i have already had my period at the start of this moth Aug 1 and i got this lastnight it started out as light bleeding and now it heavy so im not sure whta to do... and im not on birth control and i was ovulating so...

and yeah i guess i just thought i was pregnant but is a week after unprotected sex too early to get a (hpt)

The real answer is to go to a doctor--babies are never something to have without professional care from the start--everyone is different and no one can answer you...please get to a doctor and good luck

You may not be pregnant at all! In fact, it sounds as if you are not. I would suggest a trip to a doctor, but I suspect you are very young and that this would not be easy.

First timer or not, you must be careful of unprotected sex. There are all kinds of problems that can follow unprotected sex, not only pregnancy, but unpleasant diseases.

You must also learn about sex. Find someone to talk with, someone who will answer your questions. You say "I conceived a week ago," and it sounds as if you mean that you had Sex a week ago. That is not always conception. You do not conceive simply because you had sex, but it is always a possibility.

Wait until you can take a pregnancy test. But, if that heavy bleeding continues, get yourself to a doctor.

You said that your last period was on the 1st of August. This means that you would have been ovulating around the 11th-15th of august. Which is a week before you had unprotected sex.

Worrying about being pregnant can exacerbate the symptoms of pms, so that when you're period is coming around, you believe yourself to be pregnant.

While some women do 'just know' when they are pregnant, it is not likely that you would 'just know' at this early stage. At the time of intercourse, if the egg does get fertilised, it take around 5-7 days for the fertilised egg to implant in the uterus and start releasing the hormones responsible for morning sickness etc. This hormones are usually at such small levels, they have no effect for a while, and can not be detected by Home pregnancy tests.

Also, if conception does take place, and is then followed by a period (which is what it sounds like you're having), then the fertilised egg will usually be passed out, and no pregnancy will take place.

You really ought to be using contraceptives if you are having intercourse. Or better yet, don't have intercourse.

You really need to go to a dr and get some education if you can't go to a parent. It is way to early for you to know if you are pregnant. Some of the more advance test still need you to be with in 4 days of your next period and even those tell you that if it is negative try again after you are late.

It is impossible for you to be pregnant and have heavy bleeding. Take care with the contraceptives unless you're trying to make a baby.

if u just had unprotected sex a week ago, a pregnancy test is not yet going to detected that. im confused are you pregnant? or think your pregnant? take a test. it sounds as if its just your period.

just coz u had sex a week ago doesnt mean that ur pregnant!!
if you have heavy bleeding its most likely ur period

but how do u know that u r pregnet? maybe it's just ur period and u thought that u were pregnet. did u take a test?
