do you have to connect a ground wire to a base of a ceiling fan as well to the motor?

they didnt give me a wire or screw to do this so i did not know if i had to. Help!!!

Nope. Just to the motor. White to white, black to black, and green to ground on the motor.

all electrical work like how your describing should be done by a licensed electrician.
