They all claimed how "moral" their party is, and yet there have been so many gay and gay pedophile Republican Senators and Representatives "outed" in the past year. Have they been lying to us all these years?

Too funny, ain't it? The sanctimonious moral majority Bible-thumpers turn out to be Gay Old Perverts, giving a new meaning to "GOP." At least the democrat homos are up front about their homosexuality, instead of being closet homos who go in for public toilet sex. Disgusting!

Wow, the minute the left thinks they have a hook in a republican for some scandal...being gay is suddenly amoral. Tell us...what pedophiles are you referring to? Mark Foley's IM's (and that's all they were) were sent to pages over the age of 18 (admittedly) and he had the decency to resign.
Barney Frank had a lecherous boyfriend running a prostitution ring out of his own house and was reelected with great fanfare despite his deviant proclivity (I copped the word deviant from Chris Matthews who made an apt description of senator Craig's behaviour).
The most accurate description of hypocrisy is found concerning liberals who scream about gay pride, until they see an oppurtunity to label a republican as a closet homo. I would think they would show sympathy and say welcome brother...but that doesn't seem to ever be the case.

Gay people who grow up in homophobic cultures (i.e. conservative, southern, republican, religious) typically have to repress their sexual desires and preferences. It comes out in weird ways later.
It's not pedophilia. It's directing homosexual urges toward whoever can be coerced to perform the act and then effectively silenced with threats. This points them to children. It's not pedophilia. It's the result of normal homosexuality after it's had to be chronically hidden and repressed.
See "Catholic Priest sex scandal" of the earlier part of the decade. It'll start making sense. I'll summarize. Boy realizes he's gay, and knows his strictly religious, conservative family would abandon him if he was honest. He asks himself, "what could I do with my life to keep this hidden?" The vow of celibacy required for priesthood becomes a more attractive option. Nobody would wonder why he never married, and it's the one lifestyle for which a person would be admired for never marrying. Later, however, his still present sexual urges become too powerful to handle.
It's the same for some of these Republicans. Their entire life, family culture, religion, etc. is based on the idea that gay is wrong. Of course it has to stay hidden. What are they gonna do? Be honest? And then lose everything they've ever known? Please.

Please, they are not all gay. These are married Republican hypocrites with horrifying sexual problems. Who knows? They probably were living in very strict and abusive homes during their childhood and adolescent years, and think that their powerful positions today can allow them to run wild with their pent-up fantasies and desires, and not be punished!
