Knowing that he and the Khmer Communist Party had been in hiding since 1966, both from Prince Norodom Sihanouk (1966-1970) and from President Lon Nol (1970-1975), I would ask him, "Why were you so paranoid about enemies within the party?"
If I could ask a second question, I would ask, "Why did you implement Khieu Samphan's PhD thesis ideas as you economic policies when they were disputed even by the best Marxist theoreticians?"
