I'd tell you that you are an idiot but you'd just report me. Besides I wouldn't be telling you anything that you didn't already know.

Ok, I am not trying to say that Republicans are slave owners. They are the farsest from it. But I do want to say one thing. The emanicpation act was a war strategy. The south got most of the wealth from slaves. Take away slaves, take away there money. Take away the money, take away there supplies and stuff to kill the north. Abe Lincoln didn't care about freeing slaves. He just wanted the union back together. This was the best way to do it. The Emancipation act what ever only applied to the southern states not the border states and not the northern states. This was changed after the war.

I just read that previous question. As a person that is not a member of any political party I am against unions as they stand. Going on strike because they think that they can get more money. One story I heard was that a store chain, not unlike Wal-Mart, had a union that kept going on strike to get higher wages. Wages that already made them well-paid for the times. The Company had to choose between giving into their demands-again- and embrace the inevitable filing of bankruptcy, or cut their losses and close their doors forever. They chose to close.
I don't know a hill of beans about the No Child Left Behind Act, but I do know that no amount of money in this country going to get a better education for your child than sitting him/her on the couch and reading to you.
And I have a small level of certainty that if Unions started giving more money to Republicans than Democrats then you would hear all sorts of horror stories.

Once again, I will point out that the Republicans of today are not people who actually owned slaves. The African Americans of today are NOT slaves. People need to move on with their lives. There are enough real problems in the world today without borrowing trouble from the past.

You are asking the question like there was something wrong with being a slave owner. Perhaps in todays touchy feely world it is looked down upon. In my Great grandpa's day, owning slaves was something to be proud of.

Clinton brought his cook (who was a Black Woman) to the White House, when he was elected so long ago. And Bush no doubt brought his cook (which is a Mexican) when he was elected just a bit back.
Now who are you saying is like a slave owner. I believe both the Clintons and the Bush's are pretty much alike. One family from Texas and one family from Arkansas. There isn't much difference if you ask me.

Problem is the only people keeping blacks in their "place" are Democrats. Look at any city that has been run by liberals. Democrats believe you can't be truly black unless you are a welfare mom with 5 kids and a substance abuse problem. Check it out, what do libs call a black that has legally gotten rich, a sellout, an oreo. You waht the true racists, look at the Democrats.

How are Republicans like slaveowners? Fighting terror? No, tht doesnt make sense. Fighting abortion? No, that doesnt make sense. Wanting low taxes as opposed to tax hikes? Well, that definitely doesnt make sense. How about the Patriot Act? Well, unless you are a terrorists or phone terrorists and talk to them, that wouldnt make sense. How about making welfare more efficient? Wait, that would actually give more money to those who actually need it, so that doesnt make sense. How about the US contributing, what, millions or even billions of financial aid to Africa? Wow, that woulld actually say the opposite, now would it? Sir, if you are going to make a radical claim, make sure it makes sense. Maybe I am dumb, or maybe you claim doesnt make sense to anyone rational.

STOP WHINING. YOU KNOW AND I KNOW THAT THE AMERICAN ECONOMY BECAME THE BEST IN THE WORLD BECAUSE OF SLAVE LABOR. AND WHEN WHITEY GOT RICH ENOUGH HE STARTED THINKING ABOUT RIGHT AND WRONG AND MADE CHANGES ACCORDINGLY REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL AFFILIATION. IF ABE HAD TO PICK HIS OWN COTTON HE MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN SO GUNG-HO ABOUT EMANCIPATION.
