I am trying to decide on a new washer and dryer (front loading) and would like to find a recent Canadian consumer report where washers and dryers were evaluated. Or feedback from people who recently purchased a set.

Go to your local Library they should have a copy of consumer reports on file. I know in New York we do.Or you can call them and request a copy, Just tell them, you can't find it in the store.
I have always bought my appliances from Sears which sell Kenmore brand and I have always had good Luck with them. In 45 Years I replaced my washer once. Hope this helped.

I had a front loader once; never again; first off the door came open accidentally and flooded the laundry room.
Secondly; I could not add things to the washer if I forgot to put something in, when I started it.
Third; I found it did not clean as well just going round and round as with an agitator bouncing the clothes up and down.

Front loaders are a pain in the (you know what). They leak, you can't add anything and you can't take anything out. Get a top loader.

it,s good to ask you never know what they say is for you and people you know say this and that you know what i think get what you like it may not be the best but its what you like ..
