If the truck has a tachometer, hold the engine at 1000 rpms and slowly let out on the clutch. Listen to the sound of the engine and if it sounds like it's gonna die, give it more gas while continuing to let the clutch out slowly. Once it's rolling, accelerate to about 20-25 mph and then press the clutch and shift to 2nd, then go to about 30-35 mph and shift to 3rd and so on. Best place to do this is on a deserted street or parking lot. Keep trying over and over til you get the hang of it. I'd say about an hours worth of practice and you should be good to go on the street>

This is a little hard to explain but let the clutch out a little first until you feel the truck start to move then give it a little gas. If it starts to "hop" then push the clutch back in and start over. As you let the clutch out more give it more gas until it's moving good then of course shift into 2nd. You'll just kinda feel it. Sometimes it helps to pump the gas a little (don't over rev the engine) while letting the clutch out until you get the feel for what it takes to get moving.

It's a combination of the two. You have to find the 'friction point' which is when the clutch starts to allow the gears to engage and then slowly and evenly apply the gas at the same time that you release the clutch. Once you get the hang of it and the 'feel' then it is a piece of cake, like riding a bike.

Starting from a stop, hold the brake and very slowly release the clutch peddle, hold the brake. you will feel the clutch engaging and hear and feel the engine start to strain under the pressure. this is when you let off the brake and slowly depress the gas. it just takes practice. If you let the clutch out slowly enough you can get the truck moving with out even pushing the gas. try that to get a feel of when the clutch is engaging.

People learning to drive a clutch usually make the same mistake: they over rev the engine when pulling away. A Ranger, either 4 or 6, should have enough torque to do this: keep your right foot on the brake and let the clutch up slowly until you hear the engine begin to drop in speed. Then release the brake and gently begin to add engine speed. Once the truck starts to move, continue releasing the clutch and add gas as necessary. Just keep practicing and it will become second nature to you.
Good luck!

The easy way is to let the clutch out till you feel the engine pull a little than give a little gas as you let the clutch out slow an give just enough gas to make the truck move.It might stall till you get used to it, don't stop on any inclines till you have it down or you will roll backwards>>?

ITs hard to explain with out seeing it but you basically let out the clutch and step on the gas pedal and about the same time the travel in different directions so it is like one foot passes the other.

the best way to do it is to slowly ease off the clutch then give it just a bit of gas, do not take your foot off the clutch too fast or you will stall, and you only need to give it a bit of gas right as you take your foot off the clutch, then when you are swicthing gears, take your foot off the gas then put the clutch in and switch then give it gas again or else you will rev the motor

you give it a little gas as you let out on the clutch in it,this way it wont stall out on you,it takes time to learn this, but you will get the hang of it,just allow your self time to learn this,no-one learned it over night, good luck with it.
