We are going up to Watch the Steelers Kick the browns asses in the season opener and are going up on Saturday and going to the brewery for dinner but what else is there to do, not really a museum person. Want something fun to do that's not too expensive cause we're already dropping a lot of cash on the tickets to the game, food and beer.

There is always the Zoo, the Rainforest, and the Botanical Garden. There is an Indians' game, a tour of Jacobs Field, the West Side Market, fishing and boating on Lake Erie, a boat tour of the harbor, a trolly tour, a steamed train ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to Akron and return to Cleveland. There is shopping at the Arcade, which is an indoor mall, the Galleria at Erieview. I'm going to Cleveland for a week next May, then Akron and Canton.

I would see a doctor at the world famous Cleveland Clinic. Because if you are seeing the Steelers actually beating the Browns, you have a brain tumor or some kind of mental problem... ;-)

The Cleveland Zoo is decent and cheap to kill an afternoon before dinner at GL. The Rock Hall is expensive and really for "museum" people.

Dave and Buster's on the westside is a fun place and right off the highway. Can be $$$ though.

If the weather is nice, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park has some nice trails and you can end up at the Winking Lizard for some good wings and the best beer menu in North America.

Despite valiant attempts over the years, Cleveland is not set up as a tourist town. While they've converted the old industrial buildings along the Flats of the Cuyahoga River into a sophisticated collection of night clubs, much of the rest of the place remains what it always was, which is a place to live.

However, there are two features that are unusual to the non-native. One is Lake Erie itself. Go see it: it's not an ocean, but those are real ships, headed to and from Belgium and India and thereabouts, out there. When it's winter, the fresh water freezes, and you can walk out farther than you can see, which is pretty amazing if you haven't seen it.

One neighborhood worth visiting is named Coventry Village in Cleveland Heights, some ten miles east of Downtown out Rte 322. It's an old urban center, formerly the Jewish and Italian district of Cleveland Heights, that's turned into a series of arts and crafts venues, small theaters, clubs, restaurants, and general cultural activity. I'd have spent more time there myself, but I grew up there before it got cultural, and it all seems a tad strange to the native. But otherwise, it's highly regarded by one and all.

Go to Shooters in the Flats. It's right next to the river as it empties into the lake. Stand on the dock in your Steelers jersey and yell really loud "Steelers are going to kick the Browns' Asses" and you'll get a great close up view of the river.

Great Lakes science center, right near Stadium. Take a boat tour of Lake Erie (Good Time, Nautica) Lots of Resteraunts. Zoo. Cedar Point (Expensive, though). Lots of local Festivals, County Fair season. Check Cleveland.Com, pick up a Friday Plain Dealer, see the Friday magazine, it lists everything to do.

Labor Day weekend is the National Airshow...Free. Park in Muni lot early. near the shoreway. U can see everything!

My favorite place was the Great Lakes Science Center. It is next door to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Most exhibits are free and hands on. I liked playing with them and I'm an English major. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I had fun there. I didn't even want to go.

You could take a drive down 77 south to Canton and see the Football hall of fame...

Go to Put in Bay, which is kind of like the Key west of Lake Erie.

If you like fishing, there are a lot of head boats that could take you out.

We have a bunch of golf courses all around the city.

Since you are from Pittsburgh, you may want to visit one of the many dentists in the area :)

there is nothing fun in Cleveland for a Steelers fan. I suggest you wear your Steelers jersey in the middle of the dawg pound after a few rounds have gone by.

Go home. Your statement watch the Steelers kick the Browns asses, that will get you an *** whooping in Cleveland. So just go home disappointed.

I've been to Cleveland twice and don't think I'd go back. There just wasn't anything to do outside of what you already mentioned. Maybe venture up to Cedar Point in the morning or something.
