I have a netgear router, and wireless network set up. My server is set to be part of "workgroup" as is my vista laptop, vista desktop. My Apple is set to a network called "roberts." When I got to my network places on my vista machines I can see the other vista machine and the apple computer but not the server. I go to entire windows network and still cannot reach the server. I have all firewalls turned off. I the router set up with port forwarding to allow for remote connections. I enabled the remote desktop and can access my server from vista but not vista from the server. Any ideas?

If you physically plug in your win2k3 server into the router do you continue to have the same issue? If not, keep it manually plugged in:)

If you do have the same issue you are going to need to play around with the Local security policy (control panel, administrative tools) and then go to local policies, user rights assignment, and then access this computer from the network and change that setting to allow "everyone" this will open it up but that's what you are looking for.

Good luck,

And to the poster before me... maybe he/she is just trying to learn? It is possible.
