Before I started breeding guppies, I had one swordtail or platy, I can't remember, and 2 male guppies. The male guppies literally chased the swordtail/platy to DEATH! I'm getting 2 platies tomorrow, and I'm just wondering if they will be fine with 6 guppies? Or would a molly be better?

The platys would be the better choice, but I would say don't get 2 platys unless they are both males. A male and female won't work well because the female will be harrassed by the male badly. Two females will only give you far too many baby platys for a tank to comfortably hold before long at all.

Male guppies are active breeding machines! If you think they only choose guppies as mate but they also find platies a suitable pair. That is why your male guppies chase your platy. If you are deciding to buy one tommorrow, choose molly because i like mollies!^_^
