when you see a pair of shoes tied together by the laces and slung over a telephone wire? Is it true that this is a sign that drugs are for sale on that street? My mother used to work in a jail, and some of the inmates told her this. Were they pulling her leg or telling the truth?

I know of kids who have done this to see if they could get the shoes to go over the wire.

I've never heard that before but where I live there is a huge tree along the highway that is full of shoes.
