Yes - you put the needs of the other before your own, let them know how much they mean to you, and do what you can to show them how much they mean to you.
If both people in a relationship do this for one another it is a wonderful thing!

For some reason I only know how to show love towards my son. I guess it's because he's a part of me and I carried him inside of my body for 10 long months. However, I find it hard to show love towards anyone else in my family such as my mother, siblings, cousins, etc. I also have a hard time showing love to a significant other of mine. This is something I definitely need to work on.

Yes, I know how to love. I am full of love that I really want to give to someone. But, I've been hurt so bad so many times, that I am too afraid to try again. I have serious trust issues, & it would take a miracle, plus one hell of a great man, to even tempt me to want to try again. Knowing how to love but being too afraid of getting hurt to try is hell. Good Luck & Blessings

i give my husband all i can. i do what i would want for him to do. i treat him to rewards and fix him dinner. i tell him i love him every chance i get, and i spend ever valuable moment i can with him. i do everything i can to remain the woman i was when i met him (always remember - what it took to get your spouse is what it's going to take to keep them). and most importantly, i pray for him. i let him know that he come second in my life only to God. i remember what it was like living life without him (before i met him, and while he was deployed), and i never want to do that again.
