Just like you, I missed it too.
I got up at 2 am; 28th, August 2007, and it was just full moon. Then I went to bed.

Hi Maya!
You missed yesterday's eclipse, but I'm sure you won't miss the total lunar eclipse on Wednesday February 20th!
The partial eclipse will start at 5:43 p.m. Pacific Time, which happens to be just as the moon is rising in southern California that afternoon. As the moon climbs higher, you'll see more and more of it being eaten away by the earth's shadow until totality arrives at 7:00 p.m. sharp, the perfect time to watch a total eclipse.
It's a shallow total eclipse, just 51 minutes of totality, which means that the moon should have a pronounced reddish tinge. After that, you'll see the partial eclipse until the moon leaves the earth's umbra completely at 9:09 p.m. Pacific Time on the 20th.
(Note that this eclipse happens on Wednesday the 20th, not the 21st as some seem to be writing. They're giving the times for England, but remember that there's eight hours time difference between Britain and California. For you and me here in the United States it will be the evening of Wednesday February 20th.)
If you missed yesterday morning's eclipse, patience! They've saved the best eclipse till last. Wait until February!

Sorry you missed it. It was prime viewing for it in Pacific Time.
Here in Eastern time, the moon was close to setting as the eclipse began. Conversely, the sun was rising too. The latter "ruined" the coloring of the eclipse. I understand that it was supposed to be exceptionally reddish this time around.

You're about 16 hours late. It happened about 3am in the Pacific time zone. I saw it at just before 6am Eastern time.

Yes, last night. It was really cool. I got up at 4:30 in the morning to see, but don't worry. It happens twice a year.

It was yesterday. It was called the 28th because most in the US could only see it in the AM hours after Midnight.
