One KNOWS what is best for him/her. However, one FEELS that they want (not need, but want) something else.

Logically, one knows what is best for him/her. But emotionally, they feel different. Example:

You get a tax return of, say, $2,000 and you are behind on your bills. You happen to be just strolling in the mall, and you see a Movado watch for...$1,250 (it's the Ono series). What do you do?

Logic: Damn a watch. I have bills to pay, and I can put the rest in the bank. Why would I want to wear $1,250 on my wrist, when the mortgage is due, I'm renovating the kitchen, and the bank account is low??

Emotion: I LOVE that watch, and I want it now. I have the money. So what I have some bills...and I don't like to cook anyway, so the kitchen can wait. Besides, I deserve it! I need to treat myself.

See? One scenario, but two different points of view you can take it.

I think what you are asking is "emotion vs intellect", the emotional part of the brain, requires no though processes, it is stimuli, responce. The intellect on the other hand, processes all stored data, and makes decisions unemotionally. Much like a computer. That is what the learning process is all about, putting as much information into your brain as you can, so that you become more capable of making the best decisions, about what is happening in your life. The more info. the better the decisions.

The heart does not want. Only the mind. Mind is seperate into two part logical and Artistic. That is where you want comes from. There is also a brain in the gut.

Well your mind pretty much contains everything -- both the logical and the emotional. "Heart vs mind" refers to following your logic against your emotions, or following your emotions against your logic.

I think it's good to follow your heart, to achieve your hopes & dreams, but it's also wise not to ignore your logic & intuition, because your intelligence can save you from trouble or heartache. A balance is the key.

I think your heart is the one that thinks rationally and more on the line of survival mode while your heart is more along the lines of fantasy and what you want rather than need.

Your heart has no logic. So the logical option would be your brain talking to you, while the irrational and emotional option would be your heart.

If you put your priorities in order you'll know which one to follow.

I follow to saying "Run towards the pain" it tends to be worth it in the long run.

The heart is just an organ, EVERYTHING happens in your mind.
(Just think about it)
