Convert them all to a common length, lets do meters.

1583cm = 15.83m
.0128km= 128m
17,931mm= 1.7931 m
14m = 14m

So the longest is .0128km, and the shortest is 17.931mm.

In cm, they are:

1583
1280
1793
and
1400

Or in km:
0.01583
0.0128
0.017931
0.014

So its 0.0128 km that is shortest; 17 931mm the longest.

everyone should know the following conversion "table":

(kilo) (hecto) (deca) (meters/liters/grams) (deci) (centi) (milli)

then you move the decimal accordingly

so let's convert these numbers to meters (you can pick anything, as long as you're consistent)

1583 cm...(refer to table above)...move the decimal two places to the left because it's two spaces LEFT from "centi" to "meters"...=15.83 m

.0128 km...move decimal three places to the right because it's three spaces RIGHT from "kilo" to "meters"...=12.8 m

17931 mm = 17.931 m

14 m = 14 m

so now you have all the units in meters. just put them in order.

12.8, 14, 15.83, 17.931

then change them back to the original numbers
