I keep hearing, even within the same answer! "it has nothing to do with being gay, it's about the law" as if he stole a bunch of money from tax payers, then, in the same breath following with "and he's been so anti-gay rights that it's hypocritical of him"
So, which is it? Is it the fact he broke a law that is not even a very serious crime? Or is it because he is a hypocrite?

Seems to me like usually people would really want some solid evidence before coming to a conclusion. Of course, that only matters if the person if from their party. Otherwise, the man can burn at the stake right or wrong. That's sad.

I personally find it hilarious.. So many "anti-gay" reps coming out the closet recently... And yet, their followers keep supporting them and make lame excuses for em.. hmmm.. I guess a closet gay that acts like he hates gays is better than a gay that supports gays.. derrr... huh? lol.

Hypocrite. it's the fact they (republicans) all hide behind religion and hide behind the closet door while they condem others of doing the very same thing they are doing in private. I tell ya, it has gotten in the USA that telling a lie is praised and telling the truth is condeming to the nth degree. But then again, isn't that how revelations in the bible describes the last days before the end of time?

Not totally sure what you're asking, so I'm gonna take a wild guess.

I think the issue is that his position on gay rights is hypocritical given his behavior and proclivities.

And, breaking the law isn't cool either, and in fact is never cool.

Does that answer your question?

I can certainly see why people with children to protect are not as dismissive of his actions in the men's room. A pervert is a pervert and people should stop dismissing this perverted behavior just because it is the kinda garbage that gays engage in.

Oh you must have missed the part about him PLEADING GUILTY eldude. And please don't tell me that you bought that tripe about him not having legal representation.

Hypocrite. I am sure it's on YouTube by now that he bashed Clinton for being a "naughty, nasty boy."
And what does that make him?
Hypocrite.
Let us not forget his "family values" stance, either.
Wonder what his wife and children think about that tonight?

This about the shoe-tapping congressman/senator in the mens room?

Get over it already. He cut a plea deal. Who cares? All those politicians are crooks.

For most people, it's about him (maybe) being a hypocrite.

For some of us, the only issue is that he broke the law, admitted it -- and that it is (as you point out) only a misdemeanor that is unrelated to his job performance -- hence a minor issue.
