Having name problems?

Question

Hello.. well, my wife is due in about a month.. we are having trouble on names...The sex of the baby will be a surprise.. We have our girl names and our boy names..that we both like.. and then there are HER names that she is still fighting for... Tell me which ones you like the best. Just trying to get a sense of what is not "strange" for a baby to be named... she wants to see everyone likes HER names too

Mia Renee McElroy (M's sound weird maybe?)
Korie (or Kayci) Lynn McElroy

maybe I'm just being a typical "man?" (thats what she says) maybe her names are ..good?

I've come a LONG way since we first started thinking of names.. I wanted a good, strong name like Lucas, or Bradley.. something, well, common.. Or Emma, Ashton, or Kimberly... I've opened my mind A LOT... haha

***Best girl name is Aurora Sage and boy name is Logan Cade. Personally, I would go with Cade Ryan...that's my son's name. My daughter is Sierra Joan.***

I LOVE Kayci Lynn, that is adorable. Im also a fan of the name Jackson. It looks like you made a great effort at picking out names that you like together. She should scrap her list if she has agreed on the other names with you. You both should get a decision and I dont really "feel" any of the names on her list besides Meredith Joy, that is sooo classic and beautiful.

What about tell her if its a girl she can name it and if its a boy you can name it?? You've got a 66% chance of having a pretty girl's name (I dont like Yelaina, but you could call her Lainey and I like that).

We named our kids family names.
I like Mia Renee and Aurora Sage for the girls.
Being someone with a name that can be spelled about 6 different ways I would not do that to my child. Kayci looks and sounds pretty but for convenience sake I would spell it Casey.
I like Donovan Reed and Jackson Tyler for the boys.
Max and Vic are cool nick names but the full names sound a little stuffy.

It's so hard to pick a baby name prior to seeing the actual baby!

Girl names: Aurora (sounds mystical...like the dawn symbolizes the beginning of a great day ...that was Sleeping Beauty's name in the original fairy tale).

Boy names: Sterling (sounds rugged and valuable, like little boys are).

But, only you will know your child and what name you feel is best for him (or her). You might look into his (or her) eyes and throw the entire list out the window!

Both your names are great. I think Sage as a first name for a girl would be much more exotic and interesting. I personally like the names for girls you choose but your wife's boy names are much more "fit" I guess you can say. It's hard choosing the right name but I'm sure that when you hold that baby in your arms (boy or girl) and look at that tiny little face you will be able to figure out the right name, it will just come to you. I can understand where she is coming from, however, this is a pretty serious matter that you two should come together and decide together. Personally, I like Piper, that's unique and unusual and uncommon. I also like Donovan. From her list, I like Yelaina and Aurora for a girl, but none of the boy names really set with me. However, that is just MY OPINION. Picking names is really hard. We have four kids, and for two of them, they didn't have names for 2 hours after they were born. You guys still have a little time to decide, it will all work out. Pick from the list of names you both picked out, that would be the best way to go. Good luck and God Bless.

I don't think he could really fit into her boys names. I don't think you are being a typical man. Me and my baby daddy waited until the day he was born and decided on the name together because we were having problems with names too. So we took part of his name and then something not part of our family and named him Amari Jayshon and his dad's name is Jason so you see?
