When I was young, I was a pretty mischievous kid, so my mother used to spank me with a stainless steel spoon. On my hands. After a while, it didn't hurt at all. If I did something major, I was whipped with a belt or kicked out of the house for a while. I remember when I got into huge trouble once, and was whipped 15 times. No, I don't believe it works at all, because the pain becomes tolerable after a while , and their are better ways to get a child to listen. It doesn't teach them anything but resentment and violence. I didn't learn much. I did learn that when I have children in the future, I'll never spank them , my wife won't either

Yeah....with a belt or a hairbrush.
It worked so well that for a very long time after I grew up I hated my parents and couldn't be around them....I ended up in therapy to deal with it.
I never spanked my daughter.....and she turned out fine

I have been spanked with a variety of things, and it depends on what you mean be worked.

Yeah, with a hand. I wasn't really spanked though, I was either slapped across the face or had my hair pulled. You bet it worked. I don't see how people would want to make it illegal to smack your kids, it's called discipline, something kids today need more of.

My gf gets spanked - with hand, paddle, hairbrush, tawse, belt, strap and a host of other implements. Does it work? Well, it turns us both on something rotten - so I guess you could say it does....

i was always a goody goody 2 shoes till my little bro and sis grew up and started talkin me into doing bad things like wearing my mums weeding dress and dad caught me and i got spanked on the but which hurt but it worked and mum whenever she did it i never used to hurt so me and my brother used to laugh which got her angry!!lol

Yes all through childhood with what ever my dad could grab. All it did in the long run is make me dislike my dad, but it was that and a host of other things.

Yes, I was whipped as a child, mostly with belts. Did it work? If you mean did I learn anything from it, yes i did. I learned not to be stupid enough to get caught doing things that I knew was going to get me into trouble.
