have you ever read a book and one of the characters is A LOT like you?like the author studied you and made one of the characters you?that happened to me when i read the book the outsiders by s.e. hinton.The main character ponyboy is very similar to me. in the book he just turned 14 and i had just turned 13 when i read it.he has long hair he didnt want to cut like me. he loves chocolate ands is kinda quiet. he usually hangs out with people older than him. hes very smart but doesnt use his head sometimes. and he likes to read. he is so much like me it is uncanny.
so my question is has this evr happened to u?

that happened to me once. i was reading a book by Tamora Pierce and it felt like one of her characters, Aly, was just like me-- bossy, funny, athletic, sarcastic, and only wants to have fun.

Give the credit to the author. She was able to create a character that is identifiable. She did a very good job making the character like a real 14 year old kid. When you identify with a character it means the author has done a great job of fleshing out her character and making him or her very realistic and natural. Glad to see you recognize this. Pax - C
