My comcast cable internet is super slow. someone help please.?

I've had comcast for almost 3 months now and it used to work great (7meg+ speed) until today. The download speed = 600kbps
Upload Speed =1.1mbps. Sometimes it reaches 200kbps. I don't know what the problem is. I have restarted the modem and my router a couple of times but I haven't seen any change. Has this ever happened to you?

Is it damp outside? I have trouble in bad weather. The comcast repairman told me that squirrels like to chew on the cables, then moisture gets inside which scews up the cable. Every now and then, they string me a new cable.

Check your PC for virus and spyware. Ge it done free with MS safety scanner. Call Comcast. There may be problem in your neighborhood they already know about. If you are using unsecured wireless, make sure your neighbors are not using your link. Also confirm that your wireless signal is not degraded by wireless phones etc. Further if you are using unsecured wireless make sure you are not using your neighbor' wireless.

You also might just have clogged temp files slowing your computer down to fix

1. start run (type in) temp Delete all files here
2 start run (type in) %temp % Delete all files here
3.start run (type in) Prefetch Delete all files here
