I just downloaded iTunes and am a brand new user. I am using a router on my internet right now, and am going off of my roomate's network. iTunes is not connecting to the store and help said that it is because of my router. There is no way I can connect a direct DSL cable to my computer. Is there any way I can get around the router and connect to the store so I can start downloading my music? Same thing goes with Real Player, Windows Media Player and other music downloading services. Thanks!

Talk to your roommate. The router may be blocking some protocol iTunes uses. There are other people who download from itunes using routers.
