YES, I HAVE ONE- YOU SHOULD NOT PUNISH THE BREED, BECAUSE OF STUPID PEOPLE-THE DOGS DO AS THEY ARE TRAINED-- I LOVE MY DOG--- MOJO IS HER NAME- SHE IS SO LOVING- SHES A RED NOSE PIT--

yes because i own them and they are sweet - with the exception of the the male dominance thing that every other dog has -

killing a breed wont do a bit of good - the next breed may be the one you love ( i saw that in a video today )

the video also said something so true - a pitbull is bred to be the best it can be - no matter what you train and teach it ( the person is suppose to be the teacher though not always so ) so if you train it to do this it will do it regardless because it was bred to not let you down -

Source(s):

srry to you crazy - its a shame they will ban a whole entire breed of a dog because people who see them on the news and see how strong they are will either purchase them for fighting or purchase them to attack people as gaurd dogs - instead of letting them be a pet -

i think they should be able to. its their right to be able to. the real thing that should be looked at is not the breed its self but the owners. the way that people treat these dogs. i dont own any myself but i have seen both sides of the issue. and from what i have seen the dogs that have caused problems are the ones that have been constatly abused by their owners or used in dog fights. i have even seen some dogs that have been abused but once taken from the abusive owner and give to kinder people the dog turned out to be a loving animal. you need to remember that if you are taught to be a certain way then you have a greater chance of being that way. but like any animal or person what you have been taught can be unlearned.

You know it's hard to say.

People should be able to have whatever animal they want for a pet. HOWEVER if they're using the animal for the wrong reason than NO.

Too many children have been attacked by these dogs- now that IS because of the owners lack of responsibility.

I think that the owners should have to pay a LARGE sum of money for these dogs and take courses about proper way to deal with these dogs.

Safety first and if people are not going to train the dogs properly than NO they should not have them as pets.

It is hard to say that it should be outlawed but no matter what anyone says they are aggressive. I dont care if it was raised in a sweet home and around kids I think that they are genetically aggressive! The other thing is if even ONE attacks out of so many they are so strong that they dont let go. I have heard stories of them attacking and grown men cant pull them off. Even apartment complexes have outlawed that breed of dog staying there calling them "an aggressive breed" so I think neighborhood associations should jump on the bandwagon! :)

Yes. People think they are evil little dogs and you should kill them before they hurt someone. But it depends on how the owner treats and trains it. Some states are starting to ban them. I live in Minnesota and they are banning them.

it depends on how well they were bred, genetics, and being trained as a young puppy,

I've seen good ones, and bad ones.

its the owner and the breeder that take role, not the dog.

as long as pitbulls exist, SOMEONE has to own them

It's not the dog, it's the people who own them.
