I heard about that new french president, Nicolas Sarkozy. I also heard that he was a pro-american. I was just wondering if this means france will be joining either of our wars. Or if france will be engaging itself into any wars by itself. If they do enter a war does this mean they might lose there surrendering reputation?

The long-term consequences of Sarkozy's election cannot be predicted with accuracy, but it does indeed show that a sizable part of the French population are tired of giving in. France has been most tolerant and generous in accepting immigrants; too tolerant, it seems.
The French people are not, as a whole, cowards. During WWII, though the corrupt government collaborated with the Nazis, countless French citizens risked their lives in the Resistance.
I am hopeful, therefore, that France will resist the advances of radical Islam.

What so great about war. It's not doing America much good.
The French have got more sense.
If you go to France you will find their standard of living, their health care, their public transport, their low crime levels all make it a far superior place to live than the USA.
The billions of dollars that the USA spends on killing foreigners could be put to better use at home.

It's just nice to see a man in charge who seems to have some common sense and courage.
