My boyfriend and I just had our son almost 3 months ago
and havent been using protection
I dont like pills or shots
and he doesnt like condoms sooooo we are using the pull out method which i know isnt really that good way to not get pregnant again but I have gotten my period
so I was just wondering if anyone out there didnt use protection after having a baby and got pregnant fast after or it still took a long time to get pregnant again?

Ive had three kids and i never used protection after any of them. My first was almost 1 1/2 when I got pregnant with the second and the second was a month old when I got pregnant with the third!!! I think it really depends on what part of your "cycle" you have sex on but im not sure whenin your cycle you are most fertile on, its usually shown in conception and pregnancy books. so check out one of those books and avoid having sex around that time to not get pregnant!! Good Luck with your son!!

My son is 9 months old and we have not been using any form of protection(even the pull-out method) since his birth, and we are yet to get pregnant. My husband and I decided against using protection and just leaving our family size and spacing in Gods hands. I am still breastfeeding(plan to at least 2 years), and we have sex pretty regularly, I have yet to have my period. We are very open to having a baby at any time, which I think is very important when choosing not to use any protection. As long as you are open to having a baby at any time, I think you will be fine.

You are actually more fertile right after youv'e had a baby than any other time.As far as the pull out method,Don't trust it!!!I am living proof of getting pregnant that way.twice.(you think I would have learned the first time)If you don't want another baby-tellyour boyfriend he needs to deal with the condoms or he's gonna have to deal with your hormones for the next 9 months-and of course another child.

You know they say, that your most fertile after you have a baby. And trust me, the pull out method does not work! I suggest if you don't want anymore children right know, you talk with a doctor/professional about other types of birth control methods. My baby is only 9wks, and my husband and I use condoms. Its kinda weird, but thats what we got to do until my patches kick in. I just can't see my self going through nine more months of pregnancy, especially not back to back. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well...No birth control in 10 years and only 2 children. Oldest is 10 and younger one almost 5.
Seriously. But then again I found out just today that my one girlfriend is prego with #5. Her youngest is 8 months and she hasn't had a period yet since giving birth.
Just be careful. Track your ovulation and stay away from your most fertile days.
Oh and send baby dreams my way. I need another one. BADLY :)

It is not safe not to use protection so soon after a baby, there is still a good chance you can get pregnant and your body still isn't ready for another pregnancy which can put both you and your baby at risk. Think about getting an IUD, they can last anywhere from 5-10years and can easily be removed if you want to get pregnant sooner.

My doctor implied to me that it was easier to get pregnant after giving birth, sure enough I did, when my son was 4 months old. Fortunately we wanted it that way! If you are not planning on having another baby soon, use protection. The pull out method isn't all that effective, one of you will have to compromise.

I ams the same as you. I had my daughter 3 months ago, and I don't like the pill, shot, etc. My husband didn't like using condoms, so we have just using the pull out method for about 5 weeks now, and I still haven't gotten pregnant again. It's been working so far, or we've been lucky! Good luck!

Having been pregnant shows that you both are fertile. Beyond that, having been pregnant doesn't change the amount of time for you to conceive again. So, it could happen right away or it could take time.
Have you considered the sponge or at least spermicide to help you avoide becoming pregnant again right away?

You can get pregnant after having a baby the same as before having a baby. All it takes is one time, and one cycle.
Use protection or you will have Irish twins to raise. It isnt about what makes you happy and feels good la la la, its about not making babies you arent ready for.
