I would sue the state you live in. They entered into a massive monetary settlement on your behalf (class action suit). Did you ever see any of that money?

The FDA knows that it causes cancer and you know it causes cancer. The government raises the taxes on tobacco to encourage smokers (including myself) to quit, these taxes are used to educate younger persons on the hazards of smoking, some of the money also goes to research to prevent or treat health problems related to smoking.

I call these taxes punitive taxes and they should be illegal, but we do have a choice.

The ones we need to sue are the tobacco companies, they knew a long time ago that cigarettes were habit forming and they treated the tobacco to make it more habit forming.

I have had doctors tell me that it is easier to give up heroin than it is to give up nicotine.

It states on the packs that smoking causes lung cancer, emphysema etc....so right there they are telling you basically, do it at your own risk, " we warned you"...then there are the taxes that the feds and states take in from each pack.....they don't want to give up that revenue by making the sale illegal. ..so they warn you...but still rake in the tax money....Sure they have programs but I think they still make a hefty profit from each pack sold...and if not, they just raise the tax just a little bit more....

You can sue anyone. They will be happy to take your fees. You can sue anyone for something you decide to do to your body but you will not win.

You would most likely get thrown out. They do not give you your filing fee back.

Leading forces of the tobacco industry sued the Federal Government yesterday to overturn its declaration that secondhand tobacco smoke causes cancer.

One day 4 federal agents broke in to my room forced a lit cigarette into my mouth and screamed "Breath you fat baste-rd Breath!"

I thought this strange since I was quite skinny back then.

Yes, they are.

But you cannot sue because of what's called "assumption of the risk" -- the FDA put warning labels that said it's dangerous -- thus, you cannot sue because you are assumed to know better.

UHHH NO !
can you show when the U.S. Gov't forced you to smoke?

Look, I smoke. I know it is bad. I choose to because I like it.
I will be the first to NOT sue anybody for my choice.
