They're just kids my age and we would'nt throw them at anyone else like adults or cars or little kids. And we know them(we just don't like them =P) Do you think we would get sued or arrested?

We're only 13 and 14. And they are not dangerous. since it will probably be near a river where they swim, they'll already be wet. And by the way if they did the same to us we wouldn't be mad.

let me clarify: We arent enemies. We just don't get along alot. (mostly my friend. they were mean to her alot. they dont mind me so much.) They don't hate us enough to want to get us arrested!

Technically, it's not legal; but if it's just a prank, I don't think anybody is going to sue anybody. Of course, if they're bigger than you, you'd better be prepared to RUN... ;-)

Technically, the throwing of water balloons at friends or anyone else would be a battery. Batteries are usually misdeamenor criminal actions. However, unless someone is hurt physically, the state prosecutor would not usually prosecute this type of behavior.
From a civil stand point, it is also a battery, and potentially one could be sued. However, as with the criminal charges, it is unlikely anyone would sue you civilly for throwing water balloons.
You should probably only engage in water balloon "battles" with kids that are willing participants and refrain from throwing them in a manner which could cause bodily harm.

No it's not legal, but considering it's a prank where there is no property damage or harm done to anyone no one would consider charging you with anything. Even if they did (and I can't imagine why they would) it would be a "low-level" misdemeanor, and would at worst carry a very small fine. It's likely if the police were called at all, they would just tell you not to do it again, and then they'd go off.

I would worry LESS about the "Legalities" of the situation- than I would the possibility that one of those kids could have a knife, or a gun, or a temper- that could "go off" on you if they didn't like getting soaked! Consider the "Law Of Unintended Consequences..."- & find some OTHER way to get under their skin... Better be SAFE, than... :)

I would only do this to friends you know can take a joke, and also you need to be willing for pay back. I would not do this to kids you don't like or do not like you. It just isn't nice under those circumstances. You would be responsible for any clothing or injuries that occur from this action.

Haha! No!! There's no law against throwing water balloons at anyone! As long as no one gets hurt. I'd get a group of friends together to do it, though. It's as harmful as throwing a surprise birthday party.
Scream before you attack like, "FIRE!!" so they have proper warning. You shouldn't be that bad.
