According to the Constitution, a democratic republic.

According to currently reality, bordering on a authoritarian dictatorship, where the executive branch ignores any decisions by any other branch that it doesn't like, and assumes all powers of making laws and interpreting laws, either directly or by controlling the other branches to the point where those other branches do not operate independently.
