I travel for work weekly and I've used many of the national services and I've found Hertz to have the best cars. They seem to be the cleanest and best maintained. They are also upfront with their pricing and any surcharges that may be incurred. And if you need to keep the car for an extra day or two you don't even need to call them and extend the rental. Plus they have that great hertz#1 plan for frequent renters and they give you free upgrades and free rental days.

The others companies lesser per day price
Customrer service stinks and also you may get screwed on the collision. but if a real short timer Enterprize is good they pick up and deliver.
but not at airports.
