you would want to sell it in death valley and buy it in denver. this is because of the inverse square law wich means that the closer things get to the center of the earth the heavier they get. so you buy o.999999999999 ounces of gold on denver it might be like 1.000000000000011 ounces of gold in death vally therefore you make profit

What you're talking about is the change in gravitational constant with altitude. Yes, there would be a slight difference in the weights.
But, most masses are determined using a calibrated balance. The calibration masses would generally be traceable to a known standard. One gram of gold would have the same mass on a calibrated balance in any gravity.

The gold cost more at Death Valley. See, the closer you are to the center of a large gravitational force, the heavier you will be. That's why, when you go to space, you weigh less than when you are on the earth.

is this pure gold, 24k or a cut 18k or 14k? The purity would be the most important regarding gold, depending on what you plan to do with it. However, if in the US, then it would not be 24k. Actually, go overseas, you could get pure 24k for approximately the same price as the states.

Unless you are talking about having to carry it, this question doesn't make sense.
