I'm 29 weeks today. I went to the doctor yesterday because I was concerned that the baby had dropped. He examined me and confirmed that yes he had dropped he could feel his head easily when he was checking my cervix. I'm not dialated or thinned out though. My doctor seemed a little concerned and told me what to watch for when it comes to pre term labor, but he never came out and said that the baby would come early. Is it possible that he might come early and will he be alright at this point if he does?

He wont come early. My son dropped and fully engaged at like station 1 at 30 weeks. But I went full term.

It this your first? Second pregnancies tend to do things like this.

Honestly, I wouldnt worry about it. Just watch for things like over doing it, lost mucus plug, or contractions that dont slow down when you rest.

I would think that your doc would have put you on some sort of restrictions or bed rest. If I were in your shoes, I would call them tomorrow and ask if you should be taking it easy or if you should be staying off your feet completely. At 29 weeks your baby would most likely be okay but would probably have some lung issues and have to stay in the hospital for a while. Call them tomorrow please and ask them what you should be doing to prevent pre-term labor. Best of luck to you. Try not to worry. I can imagine it is very hard!

yes he can come early and should be all right if he could wait until at least 32 weeks he will be just fine just do what the doctor tells you to try not to let him come so soon

I dropped at 27 weeks and was told this is normal, especially for first time mommies like me. I'm 36 weeks now and he's still baking!
