I was thinking of upgrading to the Palm Treo 680 but I have heard mixed reviews on it's performance. I heard that it is not uncommon for them to break down. Just wondering if anyone out there had one and can give there opinions.

I recoment you upgrade to the iPaq. I currently have a Palm 650 that I got free, but I'm saving up for an iPaq HP H6315, a PDA/Cell phone (aka smartphone) made by HP and compaq. It has Wi-Fi, GPS, GPRS, camera I think and lots of other veatures like having Windows Media Player on it, capable of palying video and audio files. Look up reviews for it if you want :)

The only bad things I've heard aobut palms till now is that after a while some of them start getting horrible conections. My dad is already on his 4th one, and the one I have was givin to me to use as a PDA only, as its connection to the GSM network wasn't working.

I brought mine straight from palm.com when they first came out. It is still working great. I havent had any problems with it. The only thing that I notice I brought a cheap SD card for it looking at pictures and all on the card there was a small delay. I brought a Sandisk after that and its working better.
