Politicians don't want to share the public's attention with a Monarch. President Putin is power hungry and his rule is becoming more and more autocratic. A constitutional Monarch would stop his abuse of power.
The Russian people never had a say in what kind of government they wanted. After the Tsar abdicated in 1917 there has never been a referendum on the question of a republic or Monarchy in this beautiful country.
A constitutional Monarchy would help to establish democratic institutions in Russia.
Is Mr. Putin interested in that?

Because anyone who was related to the Czar, therefore heir to the Russian Throne, was killed in the Russian Revolution of 1917, so no-one has the right to rule now.

I think we made it pretty clear in 1917 that we don't want them. What works for Britain, won't necessarily work for Russia. Who needs a fat, ignorant fool that gets paid to just BE there?

What valid reason would they possibly have for wanting a czar again? Seriously?

That's all they need, right?...some expensive royals with no job!!!
A smarter idea would be to make a Czar wrestling-buddy punch toy, to hit whenever they need a scape goat,
